Several highlights during Caregiving Fest for seniors and their caregivers.

Caregiving Week 2025, an annual flagship event by Caregiving Welfare Association (CWA), will culminate in the Caregiving Fest 2025 at Sengkang Grand Mall, Atrium on September 20, 2025. This year marks the 10th edition of Caregiving Week and is themed “A Lifeline for Seniors”.

“Caregiving Week 2025 is a rallying call to strengthen the lifelines that support seniors and their caregivers,” said Dr Tan Jit Seng, president of CWA. “As we mark the 10th edition of Caregiving Week, we reaffirm our commitment to building a sustainable, inclusive network of care that uplifts both seniors and their caregivers.”

Visitors to Caregiving Fest can look forward to a host of highlights:

  • The “My Life Behind the Door” interactive exhibition, supported by the National University of Singapore’s Tembusu College, where participants experience the daily struggles of caregiving through immersive activities. Visitors can wear ageing simulation suits, attempt household tasks within the space, and experience first-hand the daily struggles many caregivers face behind closed doors. The exhibition fosters empathy and awareness, reminding us that many caregivers, often seniors themselves, sacrifice time, rest and careers to care for loved ones. It highlights the urgent need for greater recognition and support for caregivers in Singapore.
  • Performances including the Care & Couture fashion show (with seniors modelling upcycled outfits designed with Fashion Parade) and a seniors’ dance performance.
  • Eco-themed workshops by The Good Earth School and The Mill International, such as making coffee scrubs, essential oil blends, wallets from recycled plastic, and carabiners from recycled carpet.
  • Resource booths by community partners including AIC, Active Global, Healthier SG, Kampung Kakis, Mindfull Community Limited, NTUC Health, STC Institute of Learning and The Salvation Army Peacehaven.

Admission is free, and the event is open to caregivers, seniors, volunteers, corporates and members of the public. For more information about Caregiving Week 2025, go to: https://caregivingweek.com.
