An outdoor singalong concert
Voices of Singapore’s community concert, “Concert of the People”, returns this May.
Catch the members of Voices of Singapore’s (VOS) Silver Voices and other VOS’ community choirs in a unique concert-singalong called “Concert of the People” on May 5 at 7.30pm at the Capitol Singapore Outdoor Plaza at 13 Stamford Rd. The Silver Voices is a singing programme for seniors over the age of 60. Through weekly sessions conducted in both English and Mandarin, the programme allows participants to improve their cognitive functions and enjoy a supportive social environment, whether they are living with or without dementia.
The other choirs joining them include the adults of VOS Community Chorus and the special needs children of VOS Starlight Voices. So, grab your picnic mat, bring along favourite snacks and unwind yourself in the musical atmosphere.
Featuring a diverse repertoire of classics such as “You Raise Me Up” and “I Could Have Danced All Night”, as well as cultural gems like “Baba Yetu” and “Adiemus”, the concert offers something for everyone to enjoy.
Doors will open at 6:30pm, allowing ticketholders to enjoy fringe activities such as a photo booth, memo wall and complimentary food and drinks. The event will have free seating. Spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Admission is open to audiences of all ages. Tickets are S$23.89, including GST.
