Royston Tan’s short film brings pairs of people down memory lane.

Royston Tan.

With Singapore celebrating her 50th anniversary of independence in 2015, acclaimed director Royston Tan is producing a short film called 50 First Kisses, part of the SG Heart Map project, for the upcoming celebrations. The heart-warming video portrait will showcase the country’s people and places, and will celebrate the past and present.

An old photograph is needed showing them of a special location in Singapore.

Armed with an old photography of themselves at a special location in Singapore, 50 diverse pairs of people (e.g. partners, spouses, parent with their child, siblings, best friends, etc) are brought down memory lane to the same location where they shared the most sentimental moments in their relationship, therefore showcasing the many faces of people and the changing landscapes of Singapore. Filming will take place in January or February 2015.

For those who would like to take part, e-mail to sg50kisses@gmail.com with the following details:

• Full name and relationship of participants.

• Photograph of participants at the location of choice (faces and landmarks have to clear and recognisable in the photograph).

• Short writeup on why the photograph was chosen.
