Ideas to help seniors age successfully

by | May 7, 2015

The Health Ministry is calling for ideas on health education among seniors, and senior learning and volunteering.

One of the challenges include how to provide opportunities for senior learning and volunteering.

The Health Ministry, the secretariat to the Ministerial Committee on Ageing, has launched two challenges on the eCitizen Ideas! website to collect ideas on how to help seniors age successfully. They are calling for suggestions in the areas of how to promote health education among seniors and what type of information they need, and how to provide opportunities for senior learning and volunteering. Winning ideas can get up to S$300 in cash.

These challenges follow close to 50 focus group discussions and more than 1,300 participants who shared their aspirations for successful ageing in Singapore.

Challenge participants will need to submit a write-up of not more than 800 words through the website. Shortlisted entries will be put up on the same website for the public to vote.

The closing date for submissions is May 31.
