Shopee launches Shopee Majulah Club for seniors
To celebrate SG60, the online platform introduces this initiative with exclusive perks and education efforts to make online easier, safer and more rewarding.
Shopee Singapore has launched the Shopee Majulah Club – a campaign dedicated to supporting seniors in Singapore with more savings, better access and greater confidence when shopping online. Introduced as part of Singapore’s SG60 celebrations, the initiative offers seniors aged 50 and above a tailored experience that combines exclusive perks, trusted brand deals, and practical digital literacy support. It builds on Shopee’s ongoing efforts to engage seniors meaningfully and help them manage rising living costs while embracing digital platforms with ease.
Eligible seniors can easily access Shopee Majulah Club perks by updating their birthdate in the Shopee app. Once verified, users aged 50 and above will automatically unlock a range of exclusive perks designed to enhance their shopping experience. These include:
- 20-percent cashback with no minimum spend: Seniors can enjoy instant savings on their purchases without any spending requirement, making online shopping more affordable.
- Upsized vouchers from senior-centric brands: Shopee has partnered with senior-centric brands such as Shopee Supermarket, Guardian and New Moon to offer additional discounts on essential products.
- Exclusive deals at accessible price points: Seniors can shop from specially-curated selections at “$6 and under” or “$60 and under”, ensuring affordability across a wide range of everyday necessities.
- Automatic upgrade to gold tier: Eligible members receive a complimentary Gold Tier upgrade in the Shopee loyalty programme, unlocking perks such as free next day delivery vouchers for added convenience.
Between 2023 and 2024, Shopee saw a 10-percent increase in the number of users aged 50 and above placing orders on the platform. As seniors become more digitally active, the Shopee Majulah Club aims to support this momentum by making online shopping more affordable, accessible, and intuitive for this growing demographic.
Shared Chua Kel Jin, director, Shopee Singapore: “As we celebrate SG60, it’s a timely moment to recognise the contributions of our senior community and support them in new, relevant ways. Through this initiative, we want to make online shopping more accessible, intuitive and beneficial for seniors. Our aim is to empower them with the confidence, tools and support to participate fully in the digital economy and enjoy the convenience that technology can bring to their daily lives.”
