NTUC Health’s Silver Circle recognised
Its day and senior care centres’ programme wins recent innovation award, and its home care services is a finalist.
NTUC Health received the Best Day Care Programme award and was a finalist for the Best Technology for Operational Efficiency at the 5th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards 2017 recently, which was held in conjunction with the annual 8th International Ageing Asia Innovation Forum 2017.
NTUC Health’s Silver Circle’s “Celebration of Life” won the Best Day Care Programme award, which recognises the most dynamic centre-based activities and programmes which improve the overall well-being for older adults. “Celebration of Life” aims to promote physical independence, enhance mental well-being and encourage social integration for its seniors. There are currently 23 Silver Circle day and senior care centres across the island.
NTUC Health’s Care@home, which offers a comprehensive range of home care services, was a finalist for the Best Technology for Operational Efficiency award. Its “Workforce Assignment and Mobility” tool which helps schedule client visits, plan travel routes, and allows care officers to bid for jobs on-the-go, was recognised as one of the best technology innovations that improve productivity, efficiency and quality of service offering for operators.
Called the ‘Oscars of the eldercare industry’, the Eldercare Innovation Awards recognises organisations in the Asia-Pacific region including Australia, Japan and Hong Kong, that demonstrate eldercare innovation in their business, operational and service models to change the way older adults age. Other Singapore winners included: ECON Healthcare Group for Best Geriatric Healthcare Operator and Best Rehabilitation Operator; and TOUCH Home Care for Best Home Care Operator.
