nlb-website-banner-3Want to download eBooks from the library’s wide range of titles and read them on your mobile, or keep track of your favourite books by bookmarking titles and viewing them again later at your convenience? You now can with the National Library Board’s newly enhanced mobile app, which is free on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Other new features include registering for events at the different libraries, making payments on late fees or overdue items through PayPal or your credit card, reserving library books, checking out the latest books, locating nearby libraries, and searching for books and audio/visual items. The app also lets you recommend titles to NLB and forward read links to Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp. NLB will also be providing one-year unlimited downloads of travel books by Lonely Planet.

To sign into the app, you will need a myLibrary ID. If you do not have one, you can sign up for one online at www.nlb.gov.sg/account or at the ekiosk at any library. For more information on the mobile app, go to: www.nlb.gov.sg/static/nlbmobileguide/faq.html.
