Staying active in your home
Flair Artz International has a new initiative that will keep seniors active and have fun with family members.
There is a new initiative for seniors that will help motivate you in maintaining a healthy and happy lifestyle, and in the comfort of your home. Called Active Arts Alive conducted by education company Flair Artz International, the free initiative that will start from April 3 to 30, 2020, will include a series of livestreams on Facebook including in dance, fitness, music and other arts and entertainment activities for seniors to watch or participate.
“Active Arts Alive is our effort to support and accompany our seniors through this difficult period as we understand that seniors are advised to stay at home due to their vulnerability towards this virus (COVID-19),” shared the company. It also encourages other members of the family to watch and participate with the seniors.
The programmes will mostly be in English and Mandarin with a mix of dialects, and will occasionally have guests to help with other local languages. Said Flair Artz International: “We sincerely hope to stay connected with our seniors and provide useful information, let them feel comfortable at home and anywhere, be consistent in staying active, build their confidence towards combating Covid-19, and most importantly, we want our seniors to know they are never alone and we will be with them (virtually).”
To check out the livestreams, go to: www.facebook.com/activeartsalive. The livestreams will happen every Monday at 11am, Wednesday at 11am and Friday 2.30pm.
