Back for the third year, Walk for Wellness is encouraging active agers to be more proactive in managing their health, embrace lifelong learning, and keep healthy and active.
Kick-start your New Year’s fitness resolution the right way! U Live’s health and wellness initiative, Walk for Wellness is back for the third year with a line-up of activities for active agers, their families and friends, and will be held at Pasir Ris Park and Downtown East. Walk for Wellness, which is targeting 55-year-olds and above to improve their mind and body health, has more than 10 activities encompassing three concepts – Fitness, Discovery and Education.
On February 27, participants can start the morning by taking part in the 5km fun walk. At the finishing line, there will be more activities including fitness workout sessions such as Zumba Gold and KpopX Fitness. To cool down, participants can appreciate nature and discover the rich biodiversity at Pasir Ris Park, and at the same time, learn some fun facts along the route.
During the event, which starts from 7am to 1pm, you can also check your current health status with the Body Composition Analysis, learn about reading food labels for healthier eating habits, and listen to health talks on topics such as effective weight management and importance of strength building.
For NTUC members, the ticket is S$12, while for public, it is S$18. You will also receive an event T-shirt and a fun pack worth S$50.
