Guardian Health & Beauty will be offering flu and shingles vaccinations as well as health screenings administered by Parkway Shenton nurses at select Guardian outlets, thanks to a Memorandum of Understanding signed recently between Guardian and Parkway Shenton. These services will be available at an appointment-basis at Northpoint City, Nex, Great World City and Ngee Ann City outlets in dedicated patient consultation rooms.

A first in a retail store, the accessibility of these services will potentially ease the heavy patient load of primary healthcare providers and ultimately, benefit the quality of patient care in the long run. The health screenings being offered will include blood tests, which encompass lipid, fasting glucose, tumour markers and blood joint profile. According to Guardian, the flu shot is S$30, shingles shot is S$280 and health screenings are either S$40 for a full lipid profile or S$50 for a full lipid profile, blood glucose, blood pressure and Body Mass Index. Guardian Golden Senior members can be used so to enjoy a five-percent discount.

More healthcare services offered at Guardian outlets through this partnership are in the pipeline. These include the provision of other vaccinations, dispensation of travel medical kits, after-office hours prescription services, medical consultations supported by Parkway Shenton’s medical team at Guardian outlets and delivery of medications to customers’ homes.

To make an appointment, you will need to personally go to the Guardian outlet to see the pharmacist who will assess your suitability for vaccinations as well as health screenings.
